I am so excited for the Holidays. I love the foods and treats that are associated with it. Nutmegs, spices, and of course eggnog. I enjoy baking at this time of year for those flavors. The Holidays are a great time to find simple but delicious recipes. It helps to simplify this time of year. It gives you more time to enjoy the season for what it is.

Holiday guests are always welcome in our home. It is a little stressful to have guests this busy time of year, but it is always nice to be around family and friends. I like to make things easier for our guests and for myself by arranging a breakfast station in my kitchen. Guests can stay well fed and feel at home without having to dig through my pantry or fridge to find what they need.

breakfast station for guests

We have this amazing command center in our home that I love to use for our guests breakfast station. Either in the morning or the night before I will set everything out our guests will need for the next morning. I will set out my granola bars, hot chocolate, fruit and cereal.

I will also have out dishes and spoons. I will set out cute paper or plastic bowls, spoons and cups. The less dishes you have to clean the more time you can spend with your guests.

A few years back I made this delicious granola bar recipe. It helped me with breakfast on the go. They are easy to grab and head to work, games, recitals, anything. Around the holidays you need simplicity and ease. These bars certainly aid in my constant need for simplicity!

When I bake granola bars I like to use the Quaker® Simply Granola Oats, Honey Raisin & Almonds. It gives my bars a delicious taste, they are crunchy and filling. It's low sodium and isn't packed with artificial fruits and flavors.

How to make these delicious bars:

I like to prep my work space, line my baking sheets or grease them. I gather all my ingredients and measure them accordingly. This helps with clean up.
