Friday night (the coldest night yet) we went to Petersen's Family Farm in Riverton. We know and love this farm. We used to live up the street from this amazing place. We recently found out they do Christmas Wagon rides, and Santa visits. We decided to investigate. You guys, it was so much fun!
You walk into the market and buy your tickets (only $4 a person). Every 20 minutes the wagon comes by and picks you up. Being as it was like 10 degrees outside I was worried about freezing to death. They had the warmest blankets on the wagon. Brandon, Aria and I cuddled up and listened to Farmer Luke tell us a wonderful Christmas story. I don't want to give the story away, but it is really cute and Aria loved Farmer Luke. It is really rare to meet a real genuine person. He was just that! Aria had a meltdown when we had to leave the goats and Farmer Luke.
Farmer Nicholas (Santa) comes to the farm a few nights in December. I sent a bunch of my friends over to see him and they loved him. Aria has an anti Santa thing going on where she refuses to come near him, so hopefully next year we can get a picture on his lap.
We love Petersen's Farm because they are local, extremely nice. We love to buy their popcorn for the holidays and we always love buying their produce. Nothing beats local produce.
Petersen' Family Farm has something going on every season of the year. During the summer months they have a food truck round up every Friday Night. We go often for date night and it is so much fun. You can feed the goats, while eat good food. Again you will be supporting local businesses.
During the fall they have the most amazing pumpkin patch and mini corn maze. Aria loves the corn maze there!
That of course brings us back to Christmas on the Farm.
Support Local and look them up! You will not be disappointed. We love Petersen's Family Farm.
