Recently, I have been browsing Pinterest looking for healthy
meal plans, fitness tips, and all things weight loss related. I came
across an article that the USDA recommended that adults eat 2 ½ to 3 cups of vegetables
a day! I don’t know about you, but I am lucky to sneak in a carrot between my
job and my at home job as a mom. Luckily, I came across the V8® Veggie blends that help me get a serving of vegetables a day
(about a half cup). V8® Veggie Blends
are a great source of vitamins and antioxidants that I need to keep myself a healthy, working mamma. There’s no sugar added, only 60 calories and there no preservatives. Aria likes to take a sip every now and again.
Like I said above, I not only work part time, I have a blog,
and a toddler that keep me busy. We are constantly shopping for new posts,
running to photo shoots, buying groceries, making dinner etc. In order for Aria
and I to stay sane, fed, happy, and motivated I have what I call a “Go Bag.”
It really is a diaper bag for Adults. I cram everything I need for the day
into the bag. You can find a lot of these items or items similar at a Walmart near you.
Let me walk you through my bag:
-V8® Veggie Blends:
this is to help me nutritionally. You can only get so far on crackers and
protein bars. When we are on the run I rarely stop for food. These beverages
are delicious and help me incorporate vegetables into my daily diet. I struggle with eating my veggies, but I sure make Aria eat hers. I am
haunted by the things my parents used to say like do as I say not as I do. I
love the new Berry Bliss and Caribbean Green flavors. I usually drink a glass before we run out the door.
- Aria Snacks: In order to have a successful photo shoot my
child needs to be occupied. We put her in her stroller and she helps Brandon
take photographs. Sometimes, who am I kidding, 90% of the time she is not
interested and wants a snack and a show. We try to keep things healthy with fruits, but sometimes we resort to fruit snacks or crackers. You can make your own fruit snacks with the V8® Veggie blends. I will leave the recipe at the bottom of post.
-Outfits: I do carry around an extra outfit in case we can
sneak in an extra outfit shoot. Normally that would be a no, but if Aria is
happy we take advantage of the situation and get another photo shoot done.
-Comfortable shoes: Sometimes I shoot an outfit in different
shoes I wear all day. I need a good pair of walking shoes near. We do shoot in
places that are hard to walk, this essential for my go back. I love my heels
but chasing a 2 year old in them is near impossible.
-Phone Charger: Aria loves watching kid shows on my phone
during shoots. Those really drain my battery so in order to keep everyone happy
we make sure to have one on hand at all times.
-Kid toys: a quiet book, or puzzle so you don’t always have
to haul out the electronic babysitter.
I hope this helps some of you with your “Go Bags.” I know we
all have different needs, but placing this in your car will save you from mommy
melt downs and kid melt downs.
