So I am hoping to incorporate some DIY in my blog. I have been doing a lot of DIY for Aria and I would love to share them with you. I am trying to improve my sewing skills and I am slowly getting there. I made her a baby slouchy beanie and it was so adorable. I need to do a pictorial for you on that one. So we have a stocking DIY today. Aria didn't have a stocking and I couldn't find a cute one I liked. So I decided to make one. I found this cute Hello Kitty fabric at JoAnns and I fell in love with it for Aria. This stocking is so easy and so simple.
What you will need:
- 1/2 yard of one fabric
-1/2 yard of a matching fabric
-Scissors
-Sewing Machine
-Thread

Lay out your fabric I used an exsisting stocking as a template. If you don't have one
here is a template.
Trace the stocking on the backside of the fabric and cut it out. Make sure you flip the stocking or template so that your sides match up.
Flip the stocking pieces so the pattern side is facing eachother. You are going to pin them and sew the stocking inside out. Sew all the sides.
After sewing turn the stocking ride side out and tada......I just need to sew a loop to mine to hang it.
